My Brother Died of Cancer

Faces of cancer

My brother died of cancer.  His kidney cancer spread to his lungs.  Then it was discovered he had five tumors in his brain the size of marbles.  Finally he was brought into the hospital’s emergency room.  They drained fluid from his lungs and it seemed he might be on the mend, to any extent that could be possible.  Then he turned for the worse and had difficulty breathing.

I stood there and watched as he slowly suffocated.  I thought I’d be able to witness this, but I didn’t realize how disturbing this would be.  Now I can’t sleep at night.

I’d like to imagine his spirit will visit me sometime, but I doubt it.  He tolerated my hobby blogging about the esoteric and the paranormal, but he actually thought it was silly.  I will look for any signs he might have decided to hang around the material world long enough to make some form of contact.  However, with my deceased mother beckoning him into the tunnel of light, I doubt he’d want to hang around to visit.  If I do discover anything I’ll certainly write about it.

My thoughts and prayers go to you and your brother, may he R.I.P. Rest assured your brother will be with you always even if he thinks your blog is silly, it may take some time but the signs will be there if you care to notice them. It was brave of you to share this moment and I hope you can now find peace knowing your brother is now free of pain and suffering. Time really is a great healer x

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are in thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss and for the suffering that your brother endured in this world. Thinking of you.

I too believe that once released from his mortal bonds and earth bound thought processes, that your brother will see things more clearly and for what they are. Bonds of Love are all that are needed. In Spirit, visits are always possible, once his healing has been completed on the other side.

    Hi Chris,
Thanks for the kind comments. Watching him die in a terrible way was pretty awful. It took about 7 hours. However, my dad had a story to tell me that gives me hope. I will post that very soon. My dad saw my brother in his house on the day he died. He saw my brother walk from the kitchen to his bedroom. This was before he died, but early the same day. I’d like to think this was a NDE and Mike was checking out things.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. This experience was rough. Far more then I expected. Some may think it rude that I posted pictures of my brother, when he was healthy and then in stages of cancer. But I view this as reality. Grim, but reality. I removed the 30 second video of my brother near death, that was really too grim. But if someone wants to brace themselves for such a reality, I have a very modest Youtube channel. The video is there. Just search for Occultview.

    Hi Michelle,
Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, we’ll all die, some peacefully, some in a terrible way. My mom died in a terrible way (cancer), as did my brother. Chances are I’ll have inherited this same damaged DNA. And this will be my fate as well. Grim thoughts, but then nothing is written in stone. My father’s side of the family is cancer free. And people say I resemble my dad, and my brother my mom. I have a 50/50 chance of surviving my 50s.
