7.2 Magnitude Earthquake strikes Vanuatu, volcano erupts in Guatemala during FULL MOON
EARTHQUAKE, MOON Add comments
A 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the South Pacific island of Vanuatu this Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 17:14:48 UTC. It has triggered tsunami warnings for the surrounding region.
There was also a full moon this May 27, at 23:08 UTC. It is only coincidence that we are having huge earthquakes when the moon is full? This is going beyond coincidence. Here is a chart of the full moons for 2010. If anyone lives in an earthquake prone region, it might be prudent to pay attention to the phases of the moon.

Further Full Moon calamities: On May 27 and 28 were two huge volcanic eruptions in Guatemala and Ecuador, forcing thousands to flee their homes and the ash disrupting air traffic. Guatemala’s Pacaya volcano erupted Thursday evening (May 27) casting forth lava and ash. Friday (May 28) the volcano Tungurahua in Ecuador erupted.

Is the full moon triggering earthquakes and volcanic eruptions?

I think the new moons are just as bad, when i perigee, or apogee. We had a huge earthquake Sept 4th in New Zelaland, and it was pretty close to the new moon, in perigee.

T Grant, I agree the new moon is also dangerous. Thing is since the new moon is hidden from view people often don’t recall it after an earthquake. But I have recorded cases of new moon earthquakes.
