On April 14 a powerful earthquake hit China in the region of Tibet. It collapsed buildings, killing hundreds and injuring thousands. It was reported 85 percent of the houses in Jiegu were destroyed. I watched the news of this terrible earthquake and I wondered what is going on. It seems like the earth is shaking in a destructive frenzy. After an earthquake, I check the skies. The Haiti earthquake happened shortly before a solar eclipse. The Chile earthquake occurred during a full moon. And this earthquake in China happened during the new moon.
The initial quake, measured at magnitude-6.9 by the U.S. Geological Survey and 7.1 by the China Earthquake Networks Center, hit Yushu at 7:49 a.m. (7:49 p.m. EDT, 2349 GMT). It was followed by five more tremors within three hours, all but one registering 5.0 or higher.

Hi Nathan,
If I lived in California, I’d pay attention the phases of the moon. The way things are going, they might be next. A scary thought, but look at all of these killer quakes…I don’t ever recall hearing about so many in such a short frame of time.

I watch an expert on CNN claim that the earthquake count for this year was no higher than in an average year, except for the smaller quake count, which was slightly higher than normal. He said the smaller quakes were mainly due to aftershocks from the larger quakes, though, like the earthquake in Haiti – which had many, many aftershocks.
But don’t believe everything that scientists tell you. I certainly don’t anyway, because their purpose in most cases is to serve their Political Master.
